Setting up PlanGrid Single Sign-On (SSO) in Okta
i. On Okta, navigate to the applications tab
ii. Click “Add Application”
iii. Click “Create New App”

For the “Platform” choose “Web”

For the “Sign on method” choose “SAML 2.0”

Click “Create”
iv. For the General Settings tab:

Set the “App name” as “PlanGrid”

Click “Next”
v. For the Configure SAML tab:
-
Set the “Single Sign on URL” to “https://app.plangrid.com/saml”
-
Set the “Audience URI” to “https://io.plangrid.com/sessions/saml/metadata”
-
Set the “Application username” to “Email”
-
Under “Attribute Statements” add
a. Set “Name” to “User.Email”
b. Set “Value” to “user.email” -
Click “Next”
vi. For the “Feedback” tab:
-
Select “Internal App”
-
Click “Finish”
vii. Click “View Setup Instructions”. This has information needed for configuring PlanGrid

i. Sign into Admin Console
ii. Select the organization for which you're setting up SSO
iii. Go to the SSO Configuration Tab
iv. Click "Add Provider"

Select Okta
v. Fill in the fields with

Copy Okta’s value for “Identity Provider Single Sign On URL” into “Identity Provider Single Sign On URL”

Copy Okta’s value for "Identity Provider Issuer” into “Identity Provider Issuer”
-
Copy Okta’s “IDP metadata” into the “IDP Metadata”
-
Click “Save”
vi. Go to the organization users tab
vii. Select your account and hit "Enable SSO"

Click “Done”
viii. Open up https://app.plangrid.com/login in a new tab
ix. Log in with your email, which will automatically redirect you to Okta
