With PlanGrid, you can import photos to a variety of features, including Sheets, Tasks, and Field Reports. There are three pieces of information associated with each photo imported to PlanGrid: creation timestamp, GPS location, and creator. To view this information for a specific photo, navigate to the Photos section, find the photo you'd like to know more about, and select "Details."

Creation Timestamp
There are two separate timestamps associated with photo creation, taken on and added on.
Taken on marks the time the photo was taken. If a new photo is captured on a device, it will use the device's current time as "taken on." If the photo is imported, PlanGrid will try to read the time taken from the photo's EXIF metadata.*
Added on marks the time the photo was added to PlanGrid. This will always be the time that the photo was synced to PlanGrid, regardless of whether it was imported or captured directly from the device.
For filtering and viewing photos, PlanGrid uses the "Taken on" date. However, you can view both timestamps on web and iOS by viewing the photo details.
*If EXIF metadata isn't available, the imported photo will use the device's current timestamp at the time of importing. EXIF timestamps don't support timezones, so the timezone will be the device's current timezone.
GPS Location
PlanGrid will import the GPS location if it's available from the photo.
Creator
PlanGrid will display each photo's creator. A photo's creator is the user logged into the device when it is imported or captured, regardless of what's in the imported photo's metadata.
