Collaboration Models

With Field Reports, you can utilize one of three different collaboration models for each of your Field Reports templates. You choose a collaboration model in the final stages of setting up a Field Report template. Learn how to set up Field Reports templates in the Field Reports getting started guide.

Single Contributor

Use the single contributor model when you want each field report to be created, filled out, and submitted by a single user.

Multiple Contributors in Sequence

With this contribution model, multiple users can edit a single field report. However, they can't do so simultaneously. Each contributor edits the report and then assigns it to the next contributor to continue editing. 

Multiple Contributors in Parallel

With this contribution model, any of a report's contributors can edit a template at the same time. There's no need to assign the report to the next contributor.
