The Submittal Manager is the user tasked with managing the entire submittals process. As a Submittal Manager, you assign items for submittal, review submissions, move packages along the submittals process, and publish final packages to your team.
The Submittal Manager is able to create items and packages as well as view, edit, and update all existing items and packages.
A Submitter is anyone on a project who receives a submittal request and provides information in response. Once a submittal item is assigned, the Submitter will be notified by email. Submitters don’t need to have a PlanGrid account to upload a submittal—they can do so in an online dashboard available to them through email.
Submitters are able to view and update only those packages and items that have been assigned to them by the Submittal Manager.
A Reviewer is anyone on a project who reviews and responds to completed submittals, either approving them, rejecting them, or sending them back for revision. Reviewers are assigned by the Submittal Manager and will be notified by email when a submittal is ready for review. They don’t need a PlanGrid account to review submittals—they can do so in an online dashboard available to them through email.
Reviewers can view and update only those items and packages that have been assigned to them by the Submittal Manager.
Watchers are able to view items and packages that have been assigned to them by the Submittal Manager. This lets you keep anyone you'd like updated about the progress of a submittal.
