Favoriting Sheets
Note: Our Full Sheet search feature will only work within Parent/Master projects, not currently on any Workspace Projects.
You can now search all of the text in your sheets, even when you're offline. Feel free to search for key terms or phrases that are located in the sheet numbers or titles or within the sheets themselves, and get results whether you’re online or offline. This is now accessible on iOS, Android, and Windows.
Please note: These features will only work for vectored (not scanned or rastered) sheets. You can test your sheets with the methods outlined here.
From the Sheets menu: Locate the search bar at the top of the screen, and search for any term that you may have within any of your sheets.
When Viewing a Single Sheet: Locate the search bar at the top of the sheet you're viewing, as you should be able to also search any term in that area.

Searching and Filtering on Android
Android tablets can also easily filter in grid view, by tapping the magnifying glass to open the search box, or the inverted triangle icon to filter by project tag or version.
How do I view older versions of sheets?
You can view older versions on the website by clicking the Filter button at the top right, then clicking the version filter in your Sheets tab. If no version is selected, then the most recent version of the sheets are shown.
Figure 1. Filter by version to see older versions of your sheets on the website.
Viewing older versions on the iPad:
You can also view older versions on your iPad by clicking on the file cabinet (figure 2) or by swiping up on your screen (figure 3). The older version will be marked as "Not Current.”
Figure 2. Tap the file cabinet and select "Versions" to view older versions of a sheet.
Figure 3. You can also swipe up to load an older version
Viewing older versions on Android:
Note: Swiping on sheets to view previous versions is not supported on Android at this time.
1. When viewing a sheet, tap the Android menu button. Your menu and menu button may not be in the upper right corner, click here if you're not sure where the menu button for your device is. With the menu open, select "Versions."
2. Select the version you wish to view.
3. If a version is not the current one, the "Not Current" badge will appear along the bottom of the screen.
While in GridView in the Android app, you can also tap the inverted triangle icon, and then filter by the version in the filter list. Use this method to browse all the sheets of a specific version.
Adding and Removing Project Tags
Project tags allow you to easily group sheets according to location, trade, discipline, or any other parameters that work for your specific project. Tags are customizable, and once added to sheets, are available to all users on the project team to quickly pull up specific sets of sheets.
Project tags should not be used for distinguishing revisions, issuances, or updated sets of sheets. For more information on the difference between versions and project tags, go here.
Please note: Project tags can only be added by Project Admins.
To add project tags to your sheets (from the sheets' grid-view):
1. Login to http://www.plangrid.com/en and open the project by clicking the project name. Click the "List View" button to see your sheets in a list. (Project tags can only be added via list view.)
2. Use the filter options on the right to bring up specific sheets, and then manually select checkboxes next to sheets, or select the checkbox at the top of the column to select All the filtered sheets. If you're editing an existing tag, you'll filter by the tag to edit first.
3. Click "Edit" at the top to bring up the "Edit Sheet" window.
4. Click into the Tag field, and either select the existing tag, or type a custom tag into the field and choose "Create Tag ...", then click "Save Changes" at the bottom.
Once added to your sheets, your tag will appear under the Filter by Tags section on both the website and the mobile app. Simply click that tag to filter for only those sheets.
To add project tags to individual sheets:
1. On the website, open your preferred sheet, scroll to the bottom and click the "ADD" button next to TAGS.
2. A pre-populated list of available tags will appear. You can select one of those pre-existing tags or type in your own. When you'e finished, click "SAVE".
To Remove a Project Tag:
Repeat steps 1-3 and then click the black "x" next to the tag name. Once the tag has been completely removed from all tagged sheets, it will no longer be available under the "Filter by Tags" list on the website or mobile apps.
If your tag is still visible under the Filter by Tag list, then one of the older versions of a tagged sheet still carries that specific tag. To find that tagged sheet, filter by both that specific tag and each version individually.
To Automatically Tag Your Sheets:
Another option to tag sheets is to use the "Auto-tagging" feature which will allow you to automatically detect AIA prefixes and apply them as tags within the sheets in an upload group.
This will work for new sheet uploads only. To tag published sheets follow the steps above.
1. Follow steps 1-3 here, and select "Automatically tag sheets".
2. Continue with the upload and publishing steps here.
3. Once your sheets are published, they will be be automatically tagged.
Using "My Tags" to Bookmark Sheets on iOS
You can use our "My Tags" feature on the iOS app to bookmark sheets for personal reference. My Tags are only available on the PlanGrid for iOS app, and are only saved on that individual device. My Tags cannot be shared with other users across the project, accessed on the website or PlanGrid for Android app, or on other devices logged in under your account.
To create "My Tags":
1. When viewing a specific sheet, tap the "+" button in the upper right corner, and then enter the name of your new tag.
2. To apply an existing My Tag to this sheet, simply select the My Tag name from the list.
To Edit an Existing My Tag:
1. Tap the "+" when viewing a sheet, swipe the tag name to the left, then choose "Edit".
2. You can also Remove the tag by selecting "Remove".
To Filter Sheets Using My Tags:
